DOG-EARS

2026

24x17,9cm; 32 pages

Dog-ears began at a collective reading of Clarice Lispector’s The Passion According to G.H., inspired by a quote about a fold from an outer into an inner world, likened to the fold of a book page. A fold --- of a book, of language itself, of reality, or of some everyday object—is written into each of the 32 texts in the book. A dog-ear is the fold one makes at the corner of a page: to mark a passage or indicate where a reading paused. Each page of the book carries its own version, snippet, method, or register of a dog-ear, placed at the upper right corner. The pages do not follow a fixed order; each volume presents a different sequence.
